St. Lawrence Market's
Fall Harvest Festival
Art Contest

Inspired by the festival of fall colours that emerge this time of year, the St. Lawrence Market, historically a colourful showplace of nature's bounty, invites young artists to display their own version of "Fall Harvest."

Rules

  1. Contest is open to youngsters 17 years old and under, and will be judged in four age groups: 14--17, 10--13, 7--9, and 6 and under.
  2. Pictures can be produced in any medium, size no smaller than 8 by 10 inches, and no larger than 12 by 20 inches.
  3. Pictures must be accompanied by completed form below, including signature testifying to the age of the artist and the originality of the work.

  • Pastoral Scene
  • Quilt Design
  • People Shopping (at the Market, of course!)
    

Prizes

12 artists, 3 from each age group, will each be awarded a pumpkin and a $50 gift certificate. Winning entries will be displayed in The Market Gallery from October 19 to December 31, 1999.

A $400 fee will be paid to an artist if his/her submission is selected for use as part of St. Lawrence Market's advertising.

Winners will be advised by phone and mail.

    

Deadline for Submissions

All artwork must be received by 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 1999, at the Market Office, St. Lawrence North Market, 92 Front Street East (at Jarvis), Toronto, Ontario M5E 1C4. Be sure to include a completed copy of the form below.
