St. Lawrence Market’s cooking school and event venue

kitchenopen.jpg - 45908 BytesSince 1901, the South Market has been known for the variety and freshness of its fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy products, grains and baked goods. To continue the tradition of delivering good food with great taste, the St. Lawrence Market has created a new space that will excite your taste buds and reveal your flair for fare — The Market Kitchen, featuring Celebrity Chef series, hands-on cooking classes, interactive demonstrations and dinner packages.

Located on the west mezzanine of the south market, the 2,400 square foot kitchen and event venue features a soaring ceiling, exposed brick walls and original 20 foot windows. These features provide the historic backdrop to the fully equipped kitchen outfitted with state-of-the-art appliances, sponsored by mielelogoinline2.png - 3534 Bytes.

The fusion of classic architecture and modern amenities is enhanced by the stunning view of Toronto’s skyline, which changes dramatically depending on the time of day — the bustling downtown core in daytime; the sunset in late afternoon; and the bright lights of the city’s skyscrapers in the evening. See more pictures of the Kitchen in the Photogallery.

We invite you to experience The Market Kitchen for yourself. Learn more about the current schedule of cooking classes and events or find out how to book The Market Kitchen for your business or social function.
