Southern Ontario is great corn-growing country. St. Lawrence Market celebrates Simcoe Day with its Third Annual Corn Roast and Art & Crafts Show on Saturday, August 7, 1999.

September 23-25, 1999 Global Roots: a Festival of Food, Dance, Music and Life
Toronto has possibly the richest diversity of cultural representation in the world. The Global Roots Festival aims to nurture world traditions through a three-day celebration of food, dance and music. Individuals and communities from all over Toronto are coming to the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood from September 23 to 25 for a sensory feast. Don't miss it!
