Owner: Kunsang Dekyi

Kunsang Dekyi runs this business herself, specializing in traditional Pashmina shawls. Real Pashmina shawls (there are now many fakes being sold in North America) are woven from 100% authentic Pashmina wool from Nepalese mountain goats; hers are made by her family’s weaving business in Nepal. Her brothers own a similar shop in Nepal to sell their family’s products to tourists and travelers.

She is a devout Buddhist and displays for sale many rare religious artifacts from Nepal such as “singing” bowls, handmade Buddhist bells, prayer wheels and painted wall hangings. All the beautiful clothing styles from Tibet and Nepal are available here in her shop: wool and cotton jackets, hats, embroidered shirts, scarves, silver and turquoise necklaces, amber jewels, carved wooden beads and colourful beaded shoulder bags.   Go Back
