St. Lawrence Hall – a social and cultural centre for Toronto

Designated as a national historic site by the Government of Canada, St. Lawrence Hall was constructed in 1850. Built to serve city debutantes and the elite for social gatherings, rallies and recitals, St. Lawrence Hall was – and continues to be – recognized as a premiere 19th century building. It is truly the first social and cultural centre created for City of Toronto residents.

With its delicately etched stonework, ornately detailed roof cresting and the beacon of the domed cupola juxtaposed amongst an urban landscape, St. Lawrence Hall is unmistakable. It's this grandiosity and its reverence as a part of Toronto's history that defines St. Lawrence Hall as a significant and culturally relevant architectural masterpiece.

Its legacy continues today, as locals and international visitors continue to fall in love with its opulence and traditional demeanor - creating their own story, at the historical St. Lawrence Hall. Several spaces are available to accommodate a wide range of events.
