Witness the historic grand ballroom, attend talks with  historian Bruce Bell, and enjoy classic performances by Opera Atelier.

Attend a talk with official historian for St. Lawrence Hall. Bruce has been guiding walking tours throughout St Lawrence Market and Old Town Toronto since 2000 and in 2025, Forbes Travel Magazine named Bruce Bell one of the top ten tour guides in the world.  Bruce’s mission is to tell Toronto’s history through his tours, writings and lectures. Learn more about the hidden histories of the building and the prominent figures, lecturers, politicians, abolitionists, performers and socialites that  gathered here.

Performances by Opera Atelier
Performances at 11AM, 12PM, and 1PM

On Sunday May 24th, 2026, Opera Atelier will present three fun, family-friendly, and FREE 30-minute performances for Doors Open Toronto. Featuring renowned Canadian soprano, Karine White, and dancers from Opera Atelier, prepare to be thrilled by this international programme of Spanish Flamenco Dance, French Baroque Dance, and vocal music! Artists of Atelier Ballet and Beijing Dance Academy graduate Xi Yi will make a special appearance to perform a captivating Chinese crane dance. Join us for this program that is both entertaining and educational!
