Janet Cann's pottery reflects her love and respect for the colours and textures mother nature has gifted us. Her most popular pots are platters, mugs and bowls with her signature birch tree design. The technique she uses to create this look is called "Scraffittio"; a process of painting and etching a design on raw clay prior to the bisque glaze, then applying a wax relief over the design before the glaze stage. This process has evolved over time resulting in a whimsical folkart feel to the trees.
